The Crew

James Koon
Audio Engineer

 James has been a part of CineFilm since the winter of 1995. Born in Florida and raised in Houston and Miami, James started studying production and photography in high school and continued into college. He attended the DeVry Instititute in Atlanta where he studied Electrical Engineering Technologies for two years before returning to Miami where he completed his studies at the University of Miami Film School. Upon graduation in 1995, James came back to Atlanta where he worked briefly in tape duplication before joining CineFilm as a Telecine Assistant.

In the winter of 1996 CineFilm opened its own Sound Sync Department and James has been busy in that capacity ever since. In 1998 James married his high school sweetheart Heather and the two currently reside in Winder, Georgia with their dogs, Dante and Pepper. In his free time, James enjoys painting miniatures, writing, and computer gaming
